Boeing Launches Test Program for Boeing 737 Max 7
American airplane manufacturer Boeing Co will be starting a flight certification campaign for its 138-seater 737 Max 7 following a three-hour flight which was completed last week. The 737 Max 7 which is known as the third and smallest variant of the single-aisle and re-engined line.

This was confirmed by Boeing 737 chief Jim Webb who stated that the flight completed was similar to the pattern of the CFM International Leap-1B-powered aircraft where test pilots were able to approach 150kt and 25,000 ft in a broad loop to the company’s flight test centre at Moses Lake, Washington. Webb stated that the aircraft performed at a low approach at the Moses Lake airport where an engine-restart and system check was done during the flight.
The 737-7 flight comes ten months into the 737 Max 8’s service which is one week less than the 737 Max 9 delivery where the first delivery of the 737-7 was expected to be at around 2019. Within the next two years, the delivery of the 737 Max 200 and the 737 Max 10 is set to follow and completed by 2019.
The impact of the 737-700 has been higher than the 737-7s which it would be replacing.The 737-700 which is an 126-seater aircraft first came into service back in 29188 under Southwest Airlines which is the first of 1,126 units of the 737-700s delivered until most recently.
While the 737-7 deliveries were not broken out by the company, the 737-10 has been listed publicly with Boeing currently having a backlog of 416 orders. The 737-7 which has caught the attention of the market has also had an increase on its commercial interest based on the number of customers.
Airline companies such as Jetlines, Air Lease Corp, and Westjet among others include the number of customers which has ordered the 737-7. Two business versions of the Boeing Jet also has been sold by the company.
Boeing’s product marketing regional director Jeff Haber have stated that there has been a sign of a potential demand for replacement with the current 737-700s operating currently. While Haber did not provide an exact percentage, the director stated that a redesign for the 737-7 has been announced two years ago with plans to add two frames and another twelve seats.
Boeing Stock Outlook
Shares of the aircraft manufacturer has been projected to grow further during the next couple of months as early as last month. The company has been able to deliver massive earnings growth and upbeat forecasts this year. Boeing’s growing production also has boosted the overall growth outlook of the company.
This year, the company is expected to deliver as much as 815 commercial aircraft as it continues to strive to meet growing demand. The earnings of the company has also risen considerably higher over the past year pushing the stock of the company to trade by more than $353.35 per share. Analysts are currently bullish on the stock and has given Boeing a target price of as much as $400 per share.
